handcrank power generator: is there a problem?
I am helping my daughter to build a typical magnet+coil handcrank AC generator. It has two super-strong rare earth magnets and around 400 rounds of 32 AWG magnet wire. But she is disappointed to see that it can only generate .2 volts and 200 microAMP of AC current. Does anyone have experience on this ? Is this typical value? She was expecting much more than this ? Is she doing any mistake ? Can someone please provide me some insights ?
Thanks much.
Thank tbsl101 for your response, could you please clarify then how a “handcrank radio” work ? RPM is certainly less than 5000 RPM, what else if different. Also, what other configuration would you need to know ?
Thanks again.
